This year has been unseasonably warm and even warmer weather is right around the corner. It's never too early to be prepared for what the warmer weather means for our pets.
First and foremost, never leave a pet in the car! In 70 degree weather the temperature in the car can climb at an alarming rate, even if the windows are cracked. Plan your outings accordingly and don't take a chance with your pet's well being. It is just not worth the chance of losing a beloved furry friend!
Hydration is always important, but even more so in the warmer weather. If you feed kibble and are not already soaking it, you might want to consider doing so. This way your dog is not becoming dehydrated right form the start of the day. It is amazing how much water kibble can absorb! Don't forget to carry water for longer walks and hikes for your dog as well as yourself!
Keeping hydrated is extremely important for pets as well as us humans!
